The Majors Family

Why did you make the switch to St. John School? Covid! Unfortunately the public school system made this decision for us. My only child needed to be in school and I loved how diverse and small St. John was. Once we toured it was a no brainer!

Was there anything specific about St. John that influenced your decision to enroll? Small class sizes, Spanish and future elective classes, more accountably for my son (won’t get lost in an over crowded classroom) and I was excited to be able to help the teachers and staff.

Has St. John School lived up to your expectations? Was there anything that pleasantly surprised you? This has been such a blessing to our son. He was struggling in reading so we hired a tutor but because of Covid she decided it was too much risk (she was older). Not only has he caught up with this reading but he is enjoying it so much he reads on his own, where before it was hard to get him excited. He is thriving!!!

How has St. John helped your children thrive? 100% not only academically but it has brought so much normalcy in a not so normal world right now. He has made lots of friends and enjoys all his teachers.

What advice would you give families who are considering St. John School? Do it!!! Seriously it was exactly what our son needed and I feel like so many other kids would benefit as well. We had no idea this school was such a gem, it has surpassed all our expectations. We plan to leave him all the way through Jr. high until he goes onto high school.

What do your children like best about St. John School? He loves his teachers for sure. You can tell they know him very well especially during conferences. They have high expectations that my son really works to live up to. He loves all the specials, outdoor time, religion and Spanish...I guess he loves it all haha! We absolutely made the right decision for our family!!!
