We believe that all children are unique in developmental level, life experiences and cultural diversity; therefore it is important to meet each child at their level and help them grow. Kindergarten is a very special time in every child's life. It is a time for learning new things, making new friends, and having new adventures. Most of all, it is a time for these five and six year olds to enjoy being children.

​Our kindergarten curriculum is taught using a variety of "hands-on" activities and learning games to introduce and review concepts in a fun, relaxed way. Play is an important part of each day. Teacher made materials allow flexibility to meet each child where he or she is in their learning journey. Our curriculum follows the guidelines set by the Kansas City Diocese and it is enhanced with weekly class of Spanish, Art, Music, PE, Technology, and Library.

St. John Kindergarten provides a warm and welcoming environment that is filled with engaging hands on activities that challenge each child to learn and grow. We are blessed to be able to also provide a faith filled program that embraces each child while focusing on God’s love.
