Cantors lead and support the congregation in sung prayer at Saturday evening, Sunday morning, Holiday and Holy Day liturgies. They also may serve the parish family by leading sung prayer at weddings, funerals, and prayer services. As psalmists, they proclaim the Word of God in the psalm after the first reading.
