Holy Thursday
The Triduum celebration began on Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. During the service, not only was Jesus’s installation of the Eucharist celebrated, but Fr. Jeff washed the feet of several parishioners, representing Jesus’s service to his disciples, and the Holy Eucharist was transferred out of the tabernacle in the sanctuary, signifying Christ’s departure from the world.
Good Friday
At the Friday evening Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, we commemorate Christ’s journey to Calvary, and parishioners are invited to venerate the Cross.
Easter Vigil
The Easter Vigil begins with the blessing and lighting of a new Paschal candle, which will remain in the sanctuary all year. After a candlelit procession and a series of readings and psalms, the lights are turned on and the celebration continues. This year we welcomed 17 adults and children into the Catholic Faith. These new members received some or all of the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and first Holy Communion. Following the vigil the Knights of Columbus hosted a reception in the church basement.
