God’s Love Unites Us as ONE!

In the Gospel of St. John, Jesus prays to his heavenly Father, “May they all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you” (John 17:21).  The love of Jesus unites all the members of our parish family as one. Christ is the true vine, and we are the branches, called to remain always in His love so that we may bear much fruit for the glory of God and the good of our brothers and sisters.

Here at St. John, we grow together as a parish family every time we gather for the Eucharist, volunteer in our school  or serve in any of our parish ministries. Every one of us has been gifted by the Holy Spirit with gifts and talents to share as we join our hearts and hands to do the work of Jesus in our parish and in our world. God’s love truly unites us as one!

This November, we are invited to prayerfully consider how we will support the mission of St. John parish with our time, talent and treasure. In Sacred Scripture, we learn that our tithing is an act of faith in the providence of God. Our gift of life, every breath of air that we breathe, and every beat of our heart, is God’s gift to us. Out of profound gratitude for the gift of each new day, we give back to God for His goodness to us, knowing that God is never outdone in generosity.

During our current fiscal year, we have set a goal for our tithing of $1.4 million or about $117,000 each month to support the mission of our church and school and our responsibility to the larger church.  We invite you to make your pledge of support for your giving in the coming year so that we can maintain the vibrant spirit of our parish and school and move into the future with hope, confidence and joy.
