About PTO<\/h4>\n

The St. John School Parent-Teacher Organization is designed to assist the school Principal with community building and stewardship efforts. To this end, this organization will plan social activities for school families and coordinate volunteer efforts for both in-and-out-of -school service programs.<\/p>\n

In addition, this organization is called upon to assist with fundraising events and activities. Fundraising efforts should be consistent with those noted in Archdiocesan Guidelines for School Fundraising.<\/p>\n<\/div>

PTO plans several activities throughout the school year for the students and their families. These activities provide fun opportunities for the students and families of our school. PTO also conducts fund-raisers to augment the St. John Catholic School general operating budget.<\/p>\n

PTO normally meets once a month. Meeting dates and times appear on this page and in the Principal\u2019s Weekly Newsletter. All parents\/guardians are encouraged to attend these meetings for information and input.<\/p>\n<\/div>

What are Homeroom Parties?<\/h5>\n

Volunteers are needed to help plan Halloween, St. Nicholas, and Valentine Parties for the children. Homeroom parties occur at 2:50pm. Preschool parents are encouraged to contact Mrs. Cast, Preschool Teacher, to see how you can help with Preschool Parties.<\/p>\n

What is Bingo Night?<\/h5>\n

Bingo night is a fun time for students, parents, and teachers to come together for a fun night of B-I-N-G-O. PTO provides prizes for the bingo winners. This event is open to all children of St. John School and Church.<\/p>\n

What is Trivia Night?<\/h5>\n

Trivia Night is for adults only so get a babysitter and make plans now to attend the annual Trivia Night hosted by Steve Buckner. Gather your friends and form a team. Watch for more information coming soon!!! Contact Steve for more information.<\/p>\n

What is Teacher Appreciation Week?<\/h5>\n

Each year, we honor our school teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week.<\/p>\n

What is the Garage Sale?<\/h5>\n

St. John School has an annual garage sale in the spring. Save your \u201cvaluables\u201d to donate!<\/p>\n

What is the School Carnival?<\/h5>\n

This is a longstanding tradition at St. John each year. It\u2019s a great way to help end the school year with friends and classmates.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
