SACRAMENTS

Baptism

The sacrament of baptism is the first sacrament one receives within the Catholic Church, and thus is the gateway to all of the other sacraments. Because of the importance of this ceremony in the initiation and development of a person’s journey in the Faith, classes are required for first-time parents who wish to have their children baptized. If you feel called to assist with this ministry, or if you are wishing to inquire about a class, please see the contact information below. Please contact the church office to find out when the next baptism preparation class will be held. 785-843-0109; office@sjevangelist.com

Marriage

Members of the Marriage Preparation Team work one on one with an assigned engaged couple to help them better understand the blessings and challenges of the sacrament of marriage. If you are an engaged couple looking to get married at St. John, or if you are interested in helping with this ministry, please see the contact either of the priests at St. John. 785-843-0109/p>
