VIRTUS

Virtus

All employees of the Archdiocese (including clergy, and consecrated laymen and laywomen) and all volunteers, over the age of 18, who have substantial contact with children and/or youth, in the school or church, are required to submit a background check and attend Virtus, the awareness session of the Archdiocese’s child abuse program, Protecting God’s Children for Adults, prior to working with children or youth.

*Register for a session at www.virtusonline.org. To sign up for a session, you’ll need to use a computer (not your cell phone or tablet), allow 30 minutes and have your social security number, driver’s license number and three personal reference’s information with you before you begin. This needs to be done in one sitting.

To find a session at a nearby parish visit: www.virtusonline.org.

There is no charge to attend the session. You need to be on time, sign–in and stay for the entire session to get credit for attending. Youth 16 – 18 years may attend with a parent or by submitting a permission form signed by their parent, at the session. *Please see note above about signing up
