JUBILATE

  Choir  (5pm)

About the Choir

Music for the Sunday 5pm Mass is facilitated by the Jubilate Choir. Music is drawn largely from modern worship songs, and also includes pieces from our hymnal (Gather, 3rd edition), traditional choral arrangements, and even a few original compositions written by choir members. The group welcomes musicians of all ages!

Join the Choir

We are blessed to have many wonderful musicians willing to donate their time and talent to music ministry at St. John. If you love to sing, or if you play an instrument (or both!) and are interested in joining the 5pm Jubilate Choir, we would love to have you! Send Lisa Roush an email at lroush@saint-johns.net (or just come up and say "hi" after Mass) to get more details on practice times and how to get started!

Panis Angelicus

Panis Angelicus fit panis hominum;
Dat panis coelicus figuris terminum:
O res mirabilis!
Manducat Dominum
Pauper, pauper, servus et humilis
Pauper, pauper, servus et humilis

May the Bread of Angels
Become bread for mankind;
The Bread of Heaven puts
All foreshadowings to an end;
Oh, thing miraculous!
This body of God will nourish
the poor, the servile, and the humble.
