The World Jesus Knew: A Class with Fr. Barnabas
In order to grow in one’s understanding of Scripture one needs to know a bit about the historical context in which the scriptures were written. The class will cover such topics as the cultural ways Jesus followed, the festivals Jesus celebrated, the education Jesus received, the agricultural ways he observed, and the land he crossed. Class begins January 24th and will meet on most (but not all) Tuesdays in the winter/spring.

Papal Letter: Mercy and Misery
The Year of Mercy has drawn to a close, but Pope Francis urges us to continue our merciful acts and attitudes toward ourselves and others. To conclude the year, Pope Francis issued a Papal Letter entitled “Misericordia et Misera,” or “Mercy and Misery.” We encourage you to download it (for free) here and read through it this Advent season, as we continue to prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord.
